What's New

Contribute to my site
October 1, 1999

Expose to the world the best photographs you had taken, right here in my Picture of the Month section.

After looking at some good pictures taken by others I had decided to open my monthly feature to contributions from my cyber-pals around the world.

Guidelines:

The photographer will be fully credited unless otherwise requested (but who wont want to take credit from their work?)

The contributor shall own all the rights of copyright for the picture. By submitting the picture for posting in my site the contributor grants me a non-exclusive license to publish it. It is understood that I can't make any other use of the picture except to post it on the Picture of the Month section. A notice of the copyright will be posted with the picture; but the contributor recognizes that I can't guarantee that others wont infringe such copyright and therefore will not held me liable for such illegal acts by others.

The preferred picture theme is landscapes, either natural or urban; close-ups of natural or man-made structures are highly appreciated. To avoid conflicts do not submit photographs whose primary subject is people who can be recognized.

Acceptable formats are JPG or GIF files. The maximum resolution for posting will be 480x360 either in portrait or landscape form. Files exceeding such limits will be adjusted by re-sampling (not cropping). Smaller files will be published as-is. Due to color depth limitation of the GIF format, the use of such format for pictures is highly discouraged.

Please include a title for your picture, as well as the place and date, where and when it was taken. A descriptive text about the subject or the impression it gave you are highly recommended. Look at my current Picture of the Month for cues about the picture data.

If you want to let visitors to contact you, please let me know in order to post your e-mail address. Webmasters can have their web site addresses posted and/or their pictures to link to their web sites; provided their submit their URL and their sites are family friendly. Keep in mind that your explicit permission should be issued for any personal data to be posted. The only exception to the rule is your name. By default I will give you full credit for your picture by posting your name, unless you instruct me not to post your name; in which case I will post a "name withheld by request" note.

If the volume of the submissions overwhelm the time frame for the section; at my solely discretion, I might consider either, publish more than one picture per month or change the time frame of the updates.

Please, help me maintain the integrity of my site. No nude, obscene, disgusting, hate, violence and/or discrimination promoting or other material inappropriate for a family friendly site should be submitted. I reserve the right to refuse to publish any picture that I deem unsuitable for my site.

Submittal Instructions:

Send your electronic pictures to [email protected] Be sure to write on the subject "Picture of the Month contribution" and to attach the desired picture (In the rush of modern life, it is not unusual to forget the obvious).

Got a good film picture to share but don't have access to a scanner? Send me a copy of your film picture to my business address:
