Tegucigalpa, Honduras 1998
Combining
modern and traditional architecture, the small downtown revolves around
the main plaza (do you see the trees?). Tegucigalpa is located between
rather step hills, 3,000 ft. Above sea level. Up to the late 70's the weather
was quite pleasant during most of the year with low temperatures since
October through February. Heavy deforestation and bad agricultural practices
had ruined the green belt therefore warming the climate and harming the
city's water supply.

picture was taken from La Leona Park, located uphill "El Picacho", a famous
city's landmark.
